THE NOBEL PRIZE SURVEY
Which universities and countries are successfull in hosting/supporting Nobel prize laureates? In many research areas excellence is more and more related to a complex research environment with various internal (quite often across disciplines) and external (also international) relations. The institutional support of a Nobel Prize winner could be an indicator for a strong research environment (seeing him/her more as the top of the iceberg). The NOBEL PRIZE SURVEY tries to identify the most relevant university/research institute for the work of the Nobel Prize laureate and list these instutions in various ways. It is frequently published since about 10 years and will be update every 3-4 years. All surveys are published in English.

  ABOUT MBA PROGRAMS
Some years ago we spent quite some work on the evaluation of various rankings for MBA programs worldwide. Especially various prestigious rankings rankings from Business Week, Princeton Review, Gourman and the Economist had been evaluated in addition and contrast to the some hard indicators published by the Graduate Management Admisison Council GMAC. This kind of evaluation was also planned as a continous work, but the GMAC stopped publishing the relevant data about tution, GMAT-scores, ratios of female students, ratio of international students etc. Though the data are definitivly too old the report still give an idea about the fact, that all kind of rankings will need in addition some further serious indicators to get an adequate picture about a program. The contribution is in German only.

  ABOUT EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAMS
In addition to the evaluation of MBA programs we also spent some work on the analysis of the content of Executive MBA programs at excellent reputated institutions worldwide. This was more an explorative work and was used somehow to demystify the programs and to provide some ideas how to design new successful programs. One of the most relevant results is for shure, that not really the content of an Executive MBA program is important... much more it is the quality of the participants, the teaching staff amd the extracurricular activities. The contribution is in German.

ABOUT THE QUALITY OF RANKINGS IN GERMANY IN CASE OF SCHOOLS AND PROGRAMS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
This survey analyzed the reliability and validity of various rankings in the field of Business Studies/Business Administration published in Germany by magazines like the Spiegel, Focus and Stern. The comparative analyses made evident what experts may have expected: the reliability and validity of all these rankings was rather low... because all the magazines didn't like the results of the survey it was never published by a nationwide magazine. The contribution is in German.
